Privacy Policy
Also see Terms.
Pledgo is for Philippine small businesses. You send one link. Your client agrees to your terms and payment schedule, sends GCash or bank proof, and (if you turn reminders on) gets an email about the balance.
We do not receive the money. GCash and bank stay between you and your client. We only keep the booking details and the screenshot of the proof so you can check it.
We do not sell names or emails. We do not run ads on your bookings.
This policy is for Pledgo (https://pledgo.app) and follows Philippine law, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
1. Who we are
Pledgo (“we”, “us”) runs this app. Privacy questions: [email protected]. Address: Philippines.
2. Who this covers
You, the business owner: you sign in with Google to use Pledgo.
Your client: the name (and sometimes email) you put on a booking, and anyone who opens the booking link to agree, type a name, or upload payment proof. Clients do not get a Pledgo account.
If you are a client: the business owner usually put your name and email in. Ask the owner first why you were booked. You can also email [email protected].
3. What data we hold
We do not add extra trackers for ads. We do not take credit cards.
If you are the business owner (Google sign-in), on first login, if Google has verified your email, we keep: email; first name and last name (once, so the account has a name); and that your Google account is linked to Pledgo. We also save your plan (free or pro). After the first login, names change only in Settings. We do not overwrite them from Google again.
To keep you signed in, the browser stores a cookie. Logging out clears it. The owner needs this. A client does not need it to open a booking link.
If you save them in Settings: business name, service, address, contact number; default terms; how many days before the event the final payment is due; whether balance reminder emails are on, and when they go out; GCash and/or bank account name, account number, and bank name, so the client knows how to pay. If those payout details are shown on the booking page, anyone with the booking link can see them.
Bookings you create: client name; client email (optional; needed if you want reminder emails); event, dates, times, venue, inclusions; GCash and/or bank; total price and payment schedule (pesos); terms at the time they agreed; status (waiting for deposit, proof to check, booked, overdue, completed, cancelled).
If you are a client, on the booking link: full name when you agree, plus the time you agreed; screenshot of GCash or bank proof; amount you said you sent; whether you used GCash or bank. The screenshot is not a public album. Only the business owner on that booking, and anyone who has the same booking link, can see it.
We keep a list of what happened on a booking: created, agreed, proof sent, proof replaced, proof not received, reminder sent, payment received, completed, cancelled.
To fix the app when it breaks, we may record time, which page, and an error. Emails in those logs are masked (not the full address).
We do not collect government ID, credit card number, CVV, or exact GPS location.
4. Why we use it
| Why | What data |
|---|---|
| So you can log in and stay signed in | Google email, name, cookie |
| So the shop and booking link work | Business details, GCash/bank details, terms |
| So we can track the booking and payment schedule | Booking and payment details |
| So the client can agree and send proof | Name on agree, screenshot, amount sent |
| Balance reminder email | Client email, booking, amount. No email, no send |
| To fix problems and follow the law | Logs, and what a government order requires |
We do not sell this data. We do not use bookings to train a public AI.
5. Who else can see it
| Who | Why |
|---|---|
| So you can sign in. Google does not see your bookings. | |
| Our server | Your account, bookings, and proof screenshots. |
| Resend | Sends balance reminder emails from [email protected], only if you turned reminders on and saved a client email. |
| Cloudflare | Protects the website. Sees IP and which page was opened, like most sites. |
| You, the business owner | All of your bookings. |
| Anyone with the booking link | That one booking: the details, GCash or bank if you show them, and the proof photos. Treat the link like a password. |
If we need to fix the app, we may look at a record. We do not sell lists.
6. Cookies
One cookie so we remember the owner is logged in. It is not for ads. We do not set extra marketing cookies today. The client booking link works without login.
7. How long we keep it
Today: as long as the account exists. There is no automatic “delete after X days.”
If you email us to close the account, we have to do that ourselves. There is no Delete account button in the app yet.
We may keep a record if there is a legal case or the law requires it.
8. Security
- Owner pages (after you sign in): you must be logged in.
- Treat the booking link like a password. If you forward it to a group chat, they can see the booking and the proofs.
- Proof photos are not openly searchable like a public album.
- The site uses https.
We are not a bank. The usual problem is sharing the link with the wrong person.
9. Minors
Pledgo is for business bookings, not for children. If a business owner puts a minor’s data on a booking, that owner is responsible for having a lawful reason.
10. Data outside the Philippines
Pledgo is for use in the Philippines. Login (Google), sending email, and website protection may pass through companies abroad. We need those to log you in, send mail, and keep the site secure. We do not pick a country per booking.
11. Your rights (Philippines)
You may ask if we hold data about you, and ask for a copy; ask us to correct what is wrong; ask us to delete or limit it, if the law and the payment record still allow; and complain to the National Privacy Commission (https://privacy.gov.ph).
Business owner: names and shop details in Settings. Log out in Settings.
Client: if the name or email on a booking is wrong, tell the owner first. If they do not help, email [email protected] and include the booking link if you still have it. We will not change a record if we cannot tell who you are.
There is no “download my data” or “delete my account” button yet. For now, email [email protected].
12. What we do not do
- We do not take credit card numbers.
- We do not sell client lists.
- We do not overwrite your name from Google on every login.
- Owner pages (after you sign in) are not meant for Google Search. If you post the booking link on the internet, other people can open it.
13. Changes
If we start collecting a new kind of data (ads, a new login, real card payments), we will update this page and change the date above. If you keep using Pledgo after that date, the new rules apply to new data. Old data follows the old rules, unless the law says otherwise.
14. Complaints
National Privacy Commission: https://privacy.gov.ph. Privacy mail is [email protected].
